Pass the sick bucket

The leaked memo from Blair’s sycophantic allies proves that the only thing Blair is interested in is his “Legacy”. Not that we needed proof, you understand.

The prime minister’s legacy

“Time is not an unlimited commodity. His genuine legacy is not the delivery, important though that is, but the dominance of new Labour ideas … the triumph of Blairism.

“As TB enters his final phase he needs to be focusing way beyond the finishing line, not looking at it.

“He needs to go with the crowds wanting more. He should be the star who won’t even play that last encore. In moving towards the end he must focus on the future.”

“The triumph of Blairism”? If by “triumph” they really mean “the lowest share of the vote for an incumbent government in living history” then celebrate away. I’ll be celebrating for entirely different reasons.

“He needs to go with the crowds wanting more”? More what? More of their taxes back? More of the civil liberties that they used to have? More of a sense of being a citizen rather than a row in a national identity database?

“He should be the star who won’t even play that last encore”? Oh for fucks sake! He is a fucking politician, not some guitar wielding demi-god. Get a fucking grip you bunch of arse licking tosspots.

Blair’s last month

“Needs a daily grid, planned to the last detail.

“As much as possible a farewell tour, looking to the future, making sure the party is in the right place and the public remember him as he should be.”

A farewell tour! Here we go with the rock god references again. As for the public remembering him as he should be, just leave that one to me and my fellow bloggers.

There is so much more and all of it just as vomit inducing as the paragraphs I have highlighted. This is going to be a long and sickening 12 months.
