A deceit too far

Gordon’s dwindling dream:

Gordon Brown’s campaign to succeed Tony Blair suffered a further setback last night after it emerged that support was slipping among Labour MPs. Union leaders also demanded a return to more Left-wing policies as the price of their backing.

A change in leader is one thing, but changing the direction of the party mid-government would be cheating the electorate on a massive scale. If Gordon wants to play that game, he should be forced to call an election straight away.

Allan, this cheers me up no end! Thank you!

I actually like Alan Milburn best, but Alan Johnson would be just fine by me. And if Labour choose John McDonnell, that’s fine as well; he is very sincere but doomed to lose against DC’s Conservatives.
